Pre-Show Discussions
In addition to the regular discussions with the director and designers, please note two special discussions during the run of The Tempest. Both take place in the Round House Event Room, with seating first come, first served.

  • December 6, 6:15 pm: Producing Shakespeare in 2022: A Round House Discussion
    Join three of the DC area’s leading Shakespearean voices for a lively discussion on producing, teaching, and watching Shakespeare today. Karen Ann Daniels (Artistic Director, Folger Theatre), Drew Lichtenburg (Resident Dramaturg, Shakespeare Theatre Company), and Craig Wallace (Actor; Round House Theatre Trustee) will offer their expertise and thoughts on what Shakespeare still has to offer us, and how modern audiences and Shakespeare’s plays can best meet each other.
  • December 14, 6:15 pm: On The TempestFolger Shakespeare Library Director Michael Witmore and Michele Osherow, Folger resident dramaturg, discuss The Tempest in an insightful pre-performance conversation.

Stick around after the performance to hear about the rehearsal process, background on the play, and how a script is transformed into the performance you saw.

Pay-What-You-Can
For our PWYC performances (generally the first Wednesday and Saturday matinee of each production*), the patron decides the admission price! PWYC tickets go on sale online or by phone only (no walk-up sales)  beginning one week before the first performance of each show.  *Please note that, due to the repertory schedule, days of week vary during the National Capital New Play Festival.

2-FOR-1 Tuesday
As a way of making sure our plays remain as accessible as possible to our patrons, all tickets to Tuesday night performances are buy one get one free!  2-for-1 Tuesday tickets are available online or by phone (240.644.1100) with promo code TWOFORONE  beginning one week before the first performance of each show.
