50 for 50
< BACK TO ON STAGE
To celebrate our 50th anniversary, Round House will share 50 free theatrical experiences to honor the community we call home—a season of free ways to gather, learn, celebrate, and experience theatre.
Since our first production of Godspell in 1977, Round House Theatre has nurtured artists, launched careers, and brought bold theatre to Montgomery County. As we mark our 50th Anniversary during the 2026–2027 Season, we are commemorating and celebrating this milestone with 50 for 50, a season-long series of free theatrical experiences created to honor the community that has shaped Round House over the past five decades.
50 for 50 is our way of opening the doors wider in our anniversary year. It is both a celebration of where we have been and an expression of what we believe: theatre belongs to everyone. This milestone offers a once-in-a-generation chance to celebrate our legacy, expand access, and invest in the next 50 years of Round House.
Throughout the season, audiences, students, artists, and neighbors will have opportunities to connect with Round House in a range of ways, from staged readings and open classes to backstage access and free tickets to selected performances. Some experiences will take place at the theatre, some will be connected to productions throughout the season, and some will extend beyond the stage. Together, they celebrate the artists, supporters, and community members who have shaped Round House over the past 50 years and help make this milestone year possible.
How to attend: Tickets and/or free registration for most 50 for 50 events will open on a rolling basis throughout the 2026-2027 Season, generally three to four weeks before each event. Join our mailing list to receive event updates as they are announced, and stay tuned to this page!
