Over five days, we’ll explore the best that London theatre has to offer, seeing five shows as part of an itinerary curated by Round House executive leadership. You’ll get to meet with and hear interviews from London theatremakers while enjoying private tours and behind-the-scenes access. After each performance, gather for post-show cocktails to discuss that evening’s show – often the most enlightening and best part of the trip!

Once again, we’ll stay in the South Bank area of London at the luxury Sea Containers London hotel, voted a 2022 Reader’s Choice Award winner by Condé Nast Traveller. Its prime location along the River Thames is walking distance to great theatre, including the celebrated National Theatre, as well as top London attractions, including Trafalgar Square, Big Ben, St. Paul's Cathedral, and Covent Garden. Best of all, Sea Containers offers a posh, spacious private apartment for intimate post-show discussions.

This London Tour promises to be our most exciting yet, and you won’t want to miss it.

Participants in the first week of the tour (October 15 – 20) will see A Face in the Crowd, a new musical at the Young Vic. Featuring original songs by Grammy Award-winner Elvis Costello, A Face in the Crowd highlights the dangers of elevating celebrities to positions of unchecked power. In his final production as Young Vic Artistic Director, Kwame Kwei-Armahdirects this world premiere of Sarah Ruhl’s (Eurydice, The Clean House) adaptation of the Hollywood classic.
When local radio producer Marcia Jeffries interviews drunk drifter “Lonesome Rhodes” in his jail cell, she immediately sees his potential and gives him a slot on her show. But as Lonesome's fans grow more clamorous and the politicians start taking notice, Marcia realizes she has unleashed a force she can no longer control.

Week Two of the tour (October 22 – 27) will feature Giant at the Royal Court Theatre. Directed by Nicholas Hytner (Straight Line Crazy, La Belle Sauvage) and starring Tony and Golden Globe-winner John Lithgow (Killers of the Flower Moon, The Crown), alongside Olivier Award-winnerElliot Levey(Cold War, Cabaret, Good), Giantoffers a complicated portrait of beloved children’s literature icon Roald Dahl. Inspired by real events,Mark Rosenblatt’s debut play explores with dark humor the difference between considered opinion and dangerous rhetoric.
A world-famous children’s author under threat. A battle of wills in the wake of scandal. And one chance to make amends… It’s the summer of 1983, ‘The Witches’ is about to hit the shelves and Roald Dahl is making last-minute edits. But the outcry at his recent, explicitly antisemitic article won’t die down. Across a single afternoon at his family home, and rocked by an unexpectedly explosive confrontation, Dahl is forced to choose: make a public apology or risk his name and reputation.

The tour package includes:

  • Five nights at the Sea Containers London with daily breakfast
  • Prime seats to five shows at London’s leading theatres (Week One – A Face in the Crowd and four others to be announced; Week Two – Giant and four others to be announced)
