This terrific class is an introduction to the magic of theatre for our youngest students. We will venture through the animal world from becoming the smallest mouse to the most magnificent dragon through acting, movement, and design. Semester concludes with an open session for families.

Movement meets imagination! Students will dance, wiggle, skip and jump their way into theatrical storytelling. Ideal for our young artists who are in constant motion, this class focuses on telling stories through music, movement and dance and fosters coordination, creativity, and confidence. Semester concludes with an open session for families.

Each week, we’ll open our treasure chest to discover clues to prompt a new adventure. Students activate their imaginations starting with a design element and then explore the creating characters and storytelling. This class fosters creativity, problem solving and cooperation and concludes with an open session for families.

Each week, a prompt—a curious object, an image, a line of dialogue—ignites a theatrical adventure. Young artists will analyze cues, deduce meaning, and craft original stories. This class fosters imaginative thinking, deductive reasoning, self-confidence, and collaborative storytelling. Semseter ends with a sharing of our favorite stories for families.

Theater is more than just acting! Each week, students get a taste of a different area of theatre including costume design, prop construction, writing and directing. Students build new skills through a mix of games, demonstrations and activities. This session wraps up with a sharing showcasing student-selected material developed throughout the semester.

Act Fast! Improvisation teaches collaborative problem-solving, encourages spontaneity, and builds self-confidence. Through games, interactive play, and long-form exploration, this class encourages creativity and teamwork. The emphasis will be on creating a safe environment for students to take risks, make mistakes, and learn through doing. This class can be repeated multiple times and concludes with a sharing for families.
