Food and Beverage Manager

The Food and Beverage Manager is responsible for managing all food and beverage operations. The F&B Manager will have overall responsibility for ensuring the highest standards for Round House Theatre's hospitality experience, including the in-house café and bar as well as Development and Marketing events and private functions. The F&B Manager will work closely with the Facilities Manager and the rest of the Audience Services team to create and maintain a high-caliber experience for Round House Theatre patrons and guests. In addition, the F&B Manager will work closely with the Development and Marketing departments to support and execute strategies requiring F&B operations. This role will require evening and weekend hours. In addition to Café responsibilities, the F&B Manager will assist with weekday box office operations, as the performance schedule allows.

SUMMER

Summer Camp Teaching Artists

The Round House Theatre Education Department seeks teaching artists to work in our Summer camps for grades K-12. Summer Teaching Artists are contracted weekly ($650-$750 a week) for our theatre arts full-day camps located in Silver Spring and Bethesda, MD. Ideal candidates possess experience teaching or otherwise interacting/supervising students in grades K-12, the ability to teach independently and with a team, and a passion for arts education. We actively encourage teaching artists from a variety of backgrounds with different experiences, skills, and stories to join us and influence and develop our working practice. Summer Camp Administrative Assistant

The Round House Theatre Education Department seeks an administrative assistant to work at our reception desk during our summer camps (mid-June through late August). Summer Administrative Assistants are contracted weekly ($600-$700 a week). Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, providing customer service, prepping camp materials, providing support for teaching artists and other general administrative tasks to support the Education staff. Candidates must have good computer and phone skills, a positive attitude, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and be comfortable working with younger students (Grades K-6). Box Office Associates

The box office is open Monday through Friday from 11am to 5pm, with additional evening and weekend hours based on the performance schedule. INTERNSHIPS & APPRENTICESHIP PROGRAMs

Summer Theatre Education Student Internships Round House Theatre Education seeks Interns (age 17 or over) to work in our Summer camps for grades k-12. Ideal candidates are interested in Arts Education, enjoy students, and are team players. Internships are for 8-hour shifts between 8:45am-6pm, Monday through Friday, June 17 through August 23. Interns are asked to commit to a minimum of 3 weeks. Interns provide support for professional teaching artists, learning to work with students, support and lead activities, and thrive in a theatre education classroom. A stipend of $250 a week is provided. Housing is not provided. Interviews and hiring begin immediately. Round House Theatre actively encourage people from a variety of backgrounds with different experiences, skills and stories to join us and influence our working practice. The internship program is a training program, and significant prior experience is not required.

Teen Educator Program: Summer Internships For High School Students
The Teen Educator Program is a program that encourages students in Grade 9-12 to join the Round House Theatre Teaching Artists as classroom assistants. Teens build classroom management skills and learn to facilitate a theatre arts education experience. Summer Teen Educators work for full weeks in our K-6 grade camps. Round House can provide documentation of hours worked so students can meet Student Service Learning requirements or internship hours.
