Welcome

On The House
A Community Ticket Access Program

One of Round House Theatre’s deepest held values is to ensure our work is accessible to patrons of all ages, cultural backgrounds, economic groups, and physical ability. Our commitment to access has led to the development of more inclusive and diverse programming on and off stage, as well as recent improvements to our renovated facility.

Our FREE PLAY program has already provided thousands of free tickets to high school and college students throughout the region. Now, we’re taking the next step to remove barriers that can make it difficult for some members of our community to experience our work.

Round House Theatre is launching ON THE HOUSE, a new community ticket access program that provides complimentary group tickets to 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations and community-serving organizations with a 501(c)(3) fiscal sponsor who are interested in sharing the enjoyment of live theatre with their constituents.

Priority enrollment is now closed for the 2019-2020 Season. Qualifying organizations may still apply for tickets through our general application process. Please email us at Community@RoundHouseTheatre.org with any questions.

See you at the theatre!

How It Works

Eligible nonprofit organizations who have an official presence in the state of Maryland may apply for tickets through Round House Theatre’s On the House community ticket access program.

  1. Fill out the online application completely before the deadline to request tickets for your group based on the schedule below. You may request up to three dates to improve your chances of being awarded tickets.
  2. Applications are reviewed by Round House Theatre staff. Approval and seating location will be determined by what is available at the time your application is reviewed.
  3. Awards are issued on a rolling basis. Round House Theatre will email award recipients no more than three weeks prior to the awarded performance with show information and details on picking up tickets. Tickets will not be available for pick up at the time the award is announced.
  4. You will receive a second email from a member of the Box Office staff at Round House Theatre when your tickets are available for pick up at the Box Office. Tickets must be picked up no later than 48 hours prior to your awarded performance.

Priority Status

Priority Enrollment for the 2019-2020 Season is now closed. Priority enrollment for the 2020-2021 Season will begin May 1, 2020.

Pre-registered nonprofits will enjoy a two-week priority application period before we begin accepting requests from other organizations.

Important Info

  • Only 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations and community-serving organizations with a 501(c)(3) fiscal sponsor who have an official presence in the state of Maryland may register and apply for tickets for our pilot program during the 2019-2020 Season. Round House anticipates expanding the service area of this program to Virginia and the District of Columbia in the 2020-2021 Season.
  • Priority will be given to registered nonprofits who have pre-enrolled in this program, but there is no guarantee tickets will be awarded to any organization.
  • Organizations may apply for a minimum of ten (10) and a maximum of sixty (60) tickets per show. Every person, regardless of age, must have a ticket for the performance. Children under age 4 will not be admitted.
  • There is no limit on how many shows an organization can request tickets for in a given season.
  • Final ticket allotments may not drop below ten (10) tickets and 80% of an organization's final allotted tickets must be used in order to be considered for future awards.
  • On the House tickets may not be resold or used for auction items at fundraising events. Using tickets in this way is grounds for disqualification from the program. To request tickets for fundraising events, please email BoxOffice@RoundHouseTheatre.org.
  • Only official tickets issued by Round House Theatre will be accepted for entry into the performance. We recommend you do not use a third-party website (i.e. Eventbrite) to collect RSVPs from your group to eliminate any confusion.
  • Tickets may not be exchanged for a different date or show once awarded.
  • Any organization that is awarded tickets agrees to allow Round House Theatre use of their name for informational and granting purposes associated with the On the House program. Round House Theatre may solicit additional information and/or testimonials from award recipients.
  • Email Community@RoundHouseTheatre.org with any questions concerning Round House Theatre’s On the House program.
