2019 marked the fifth trip across the pond for Round House’s annual London Tour! Our largest group ever traveled with Artistic Director Ryan Rilette and Managing Director Ed Zakreski to the South Bank, where they focused on the growing theatre scene outside of the West End. The group took in shows at the National Theatre, Menier Chocolate Factory, Young Vic, and Bridge Theatre and enjoyed private tours of the National Theatre, Old Vic, Young Vic, and Tate Modern. Ryan Rilette led discussions and Q&As with Michael Billington of The Guardian and Young Vic Artistic Director Kwame Kwei-Armah, formerly the Artistic Director at Baltimore Center Stage. Participants were able to mingle at welcome drinks, an afternoon tea, group dinners, and our farewell celebration. We look forward to going back to London next year; in the meantime, enjoy some photos from the trip below!
