There’s no time like today to renew your subscription to Round House Theatre for the 2021-2022 Season!
We are so grateful that you enjoyed our digital productions during the pandemic, and we couldn’t be more excited to welcome you back this fall for a full season of bold, outstanding works. We are thrilled to welcome audiences back into our Bethesda theatre with a slate of shows designed to transport audiences around the world!
Our 2021-2022 Season begins with a music-filled regional premiere of Quixote Nuevo by Octavio Solis, set at the US-Mexico border. Round House audiences will travel to Beijing with The Great Leap, a contemporary fable exploring life, sports, and politics by Lauren Yee. Natasha Gordon’s Nine Night, about a Jamaican-British family, makes its US premiere following a wildly successful West End run. In the spring, we continue our commitment to producing compelling new work with the launch of the National Capital New Play Festival, including two world premieres—it’s not a trip it’s a journey and “We declare you a terrorist…”—performed in repertory. The season closes with the DC premiere of Nollywood Dreams, a charming romantic comedy by beloved School Girls playwright Jocelyn Bioh that transports audiences to Nigeria's flourishing film industry.
