As of Thursday, March 19, 2020 to ensure the health and safety of our community of patrons, artists, students, and staff, Round House Theatre has made the decision to cancel the rest of our 2019-2020 Season, as well as our Gala featuring Kelli O'Hara

As of Wednesday, June 3, 2020, Round House has announced further changes to the 2020-2021 Season, due to the ongoing pandemic. We will be unable to launch our 2020-2021 Season this September as originally planned and will not produce live performances in 2020. In the meantime, Round House will continue to create new and exciting digital programming throughout the fall and winter.
While we are eager to return to live performances, we are working to make the best possible decisions to ensure the safety and health of our artists, audiences, students, and staff. Details will be announced in due course, and we are grateful to our patrons for their patience, flexibility, and understanding.

Options for Cost of Living,  Big Love,  and  Hatef*ck   ticket holders:

  • Support the theatre by donating the ticket value back to Round House
  • Credit the ticket value towards a production in the 2020-2021 Season
  • Transfer the ticket value into a gift certificate
  • Contact the box office to request a refund (Please note refunds may take up to 30 days to process.)

For assistance please call our box office at  240.644.1100 or email boxoffice@roundhousetheatre.org.

Given the decision to cancel the remainder of our season, we are no longer automatically moving any Cost of Living  tickets into the September 2021 time slot, so please let us know how you would like to proceed with your ticket(s).

While our facilities remain closed, our box office will be taking calls remotely Monday-Friday, 10am-5pm at  240.644.1100. As we are receiving an influx of calls and emails, please allow extra time for a response.

While necessary, these changes will pose major financial challenges to Round House in the months ahead. We are grateful for any charitable contribution you may be able to make during this time to help mitigate the financial impact of this significant disruption.

Some of our education programs will finish online, some will be postponed, and some will follow the guidance of Montgomery County Public Schools. Please contact our education department with questions at  301.585.1225  or  education@roundhousetheatre.org.

As an artistic hub for our community, Round House is committed to providing support and assistance to theatregoers and theatremakers impacted by COVID-19. We have compiled a collection of resources for the arts and culture field, which will be regularly updated.
