Overview

Welcome to American Dreams, a government-run game show where contestants compete for the ultimate prize: instant citizenship to the United States. As a member of the online studio audience, you (yes, you!) get to decide which of three hopeful immigrants most deserves the privilege of joining “the greatest nation on earth.” With real-time audience interaction, voting, Q&As, and more, American Dreams is a playful, participatory exploration of American values. What do we choose to believe? How do those choices shape us? Just in time for the election, Round House is proud to host American Dreams for the week-long kickoff to its nation-wide virtual tour. “It’s a game. It’s a show. It’s America!”

Please note that ticket sales will end two hours prior to each performance time. Only one ticket purchase is required per household. All performances times are in Eastern Time.

This is a live broadcast and interactive theatre event. All audience members will be given the option to vote and answer poll questions. A webcam is encouraged—your face may be shown on screen!—but not required. You’ll also be asked to sing along and clap along sometimes, but don’t worry—you’ll always have the choice to participate or not. The very best way to enjoy American Dreams is on a laptop or desktop, as you’ll be asked to interact occasionally using your computer. (But if a mobile device is what you have, we’ll make sure you enjoy your experience!) This performance will be delivered through Zoom. While it may be viewed via browser, we recommend installing Zoom on your computer for the best experience. (Download Zoom here.)
