Round House Theatre saluted the vibrant cuisine and culture of New Orleans with The Bayou Bash on April 29, 2013 at the new Bethesda Blues and Jazz Supper Club. This gala evening benefited Round House and celebrated the arrival of the theatre’s new Producing Artistic Director (and New Orleans native) Ryan Rilette.
The Gala raised over $162,000 to support Round House’s artistic and educational programs. Round House Board members Ann Gilbert and Bonnie Hammerschlag were the Gala Chairs.
• Anika Noni Rose, Tony Award-winning star of stage (Caroline, or Change) and screen (Dreamgirls), entertained the audience with thrilling vocals
• Steve and Cokie Roberts served as Emcees and Honorary Co-Chairs
• Attendees included Montgomery County Executive Ike Leggett, members of the Round House Board of Trustees, and generous supporters from across the DC metro area.
