“Round House Theatre Silver Spring has something different happening every day – performances, rehearsals, classes, and other activities. This intimate, flexible space has proven to be a perfect location for the dynamic lineup of performances in our Silver Spring Series. In the Silver Spring Series, Round House uses its resources to encourage and further the work of artists from across the area. We want to share their work – and the excitement of live theatre – with the entire community,” said Blake Robison, Round House Theatre’s Producing Artistic Director.
Tickets for performances in the Silver Spring Series are $15 ($10 for Round House subscribers, senior citizens, patrons age 30 and under, and groups of 10 or more). Tickets are available by calling Round House Theatre at 240.644.1100 or online at roundhousetheatre.org.

Living, Breathing, Human Organism
By Contradiction Dance
November 19 & 20, 2010 at 8pm
Living, Breathing, Human Organism? explores how we have lost touch. Our preoccupation with our thoughts leads us to detach from both our physical self and that self within the environment. Despite this, our daily lives play out in a menagerie of animalistic tendencies that are telling in both dark and humorous ways.

Androcles and the Lion
By Aurand Harris
March 25 at 7:30pm, March 26 at 3pm, April 1 & 2 at 7:30pm, April 3, 2011 at 3pm
Androcles and the Lion is a prize-winning, popular play the whole family will enjoy. In Commedia tradition, a group of strolling players set up their stage and give a performance. Using authentic staging and stock characters of Commedia – the miserly Pantalone, the bragging Captain, the romantic Lovers, the trickster Arlinquin, plus an endearing Lion – Aesop’s fable becomes a colorful theatrical experience.
The Sarah Metzger Memorial Play provides high school students from Montgomery County and the DC area the resources and guidance to mount a theatrical production at Round House under the mentorship of professional theatre artists and practitioners.
