The Heyday Players
The Heyday Players senior theatre program is dedicated to enriching the lives of senior citizens by channeling their tremendous
spirit, talent, and life experience into theatrical performance and master classes.
The Heyday Players performance troupe is composed entirely of older adults who participate in the selection, direction, rehearsal, and staged-reading performance of theatrical work at a variety of seniors groups and community centers in Montgomery County and the metro DC area. The troupe is dedicated to theatre that explores the humor and drama of the human condition across age and time periods. The Heyday Players troupe rehearses on Tuesday mornings January – May and performs at various times throughout the year.
For the 2011/12 season, The Heyday Players will continue to develop their performance skills in a series of Master Classes for seniors in the Fall, rehearse their plays in the Winter, and tour in mid-April.
This year’s performance will be adaptations of famous legends and fables.
