Round House Theatre operates three facilities in Montgomery County, Maryland. Round House Theatre Bethesda, a 400-seat modified thrust stage, is the largest of our spaces and offers audiences a combination of comfort, spectacle, and proximity to the stage. Round House Theatre Silver Spring is a 150-seat intimate black box theatre with flexible staging and seating, and is adjacent to the American Film Institute. Round House Theatre Education Center, a mere block away from there, is the primary site of our year-round performance and process-based classes for all ages, as well as the rehearsal venue for our touring shows. A multi-faceted space, it serves as a performance venue for our education center sharings; an incubator for high school student and apprentice projects; and a learning laboratory; giving students additional opportunities for hands-on work in a professional theatre.
